I'm learning the art of bragging, gratitude, and desiring. What does that mean exactly? Well, it means that I now daily journal what I'm grateful for, what I can brag about, and what I desire. I've only been at it for a few days, but I have to say that it's a powerful experience. Getting in touch with yourself by writing down your accomplishments and desires can open up a whole new world to you. It's yet another way to accept and celebrate you.
Today I'd like to share my brag of the day with you all -- I'm proud to say that I've been chosen as a featured blog by Typepad. Click on the link below to read the very nice feature about this humble little blog:
Yes, I'm doing a little happy dance right now. And I'm reminded that I need to congratulate myself more when I accomplish something that makes me smile. No, they don't all have to be monumental accomplishments -- they can be small. But they do need to be celebrated.
No, don't worry -- all of this bragging won't go to my head. I think it'll go to my heart instead. I think a little celebration of the self (without going overboard) coupled with a healthy dose of gratitude qualifies as ahimsa.
Namaste!

Hi Lisa K --
Thanks for your comments about Awareables. I'm thinking that the comfort factor coupled with the uplifting messages makes their Tees and Tanks worth the price. I'm going to get myself a few.

Hi Ravi --
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Oooohhh, the idea of 108 sun salutations in Seattle sounds divine. Unfortunately, I'll be missing the festivities this year. There are events going on by me (even a Krishna Das concert) but I'm in training this weekend. Boo hiss! Ah well, it's all yoga, right? I'll be doing 108 ss in spirit with you!

Hi Constance--
Thank you for you lovely words. I'm smiling right now as I reread them. Hmmmmm...this is the second time I'm hearing about Awareables. I think the universe is trying to tell me something. I just love that you are wearing a t-shirt that says "Gratitude Rocks." I couldn't agree more. Now I'm going to surf on over to Awareables and buy myself one. Thanks again for your comment and for sharing about Awareables. Have a great day!

Congratulations on your blogging success! Isn't it wonderful to be recognized for following your passion?
When I read your post, I thought about a great t-shirt that I just got. Appropriately printed on the front is Gratitude Rocks! It's from a new earth-friendly company called Awareables. They even have a fabulous Yoga Mat which has "I'm Just Here for Savasana!" printed on it.
Hey... Gratitude and Savasana, two of my favorite things!
Congrats again :)
