As I browse through the latest Omega catalog and marvel at the number of workshops offering to heal this, Zen that, and help you attain enlightenment with this modality, that teaching, and this method, I am heartened to see that good free (and fun) yoga stuff still exists. I just recently simplified my daily routine and I'm finding that -- while learning new stuff is fun -- sticking with your old faithfuls keeps things simple and wonderful. To that end, here are a few free things for you to check out if you have time this weekend:
Yoga Poses -- and Lots of 'Em
Kundalini Yoga Jesus Pose? Hmmm...perhaps I've missed something in all of my years of learning, but I've never heard of this one (or at least I've never heard it called by this name). I must admit that this site has the most extensive list of poses/yoga tricks that I've seen to date. If you've got lots of time to browse, and you're interested in learning more about the Kundalini Yoga Jesus Pose, click here.
10 Pranayamas for You
The very same Web site I mentioned above also has an online ebook featuring 10 pranayama exercises that promise everything from increased vitality to fat burning to stress management. Click here to check out these 10 breathing exercises.
Jazz, a Love Story, and Animated Bollywood -- What's Not to Like?
Who would have thought to merge an Indian classic -- the Ramayana -- with animation and a jazz soundtrack? Cartoonist Nina Paley, that's who. Nina's creatively brilliant mind dreamed up an Indian epic as an animated musical. The result is Sita Sings the Blues. We lucky New Yorkers get to watch it this Saturday on PBS (for more information about how/when/where you can watch the movie, click here for the official site), but you can also watch it in its entirety here. My DVR is set and I am ready to be entertained this weekend by the movie deemed "the greatest break-up story ever told."
I'm in a goofy mood today, as you can see from this post. But who doesn't like a little levity with some freebies thrown in for good measure? I sure do! Here's to giggles and yoga -- set to a jazz soundtrack.
Namaste!

Hi John! Sorry for the confusion. True hotlinks are underlined with a solid line. The Jiglu links are underlined with a dashed/broken line. If you click on the hotlinks with the solid line, you'll get to the links I share on the blog. If you stay away from the dashed line, you'll be all set. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks for reading!

Hello from the UK! I just found your blog and am loving it.
Unfortunately I can't work out how to follow some of your links. For example, the Kundalini Yoga link (amongst others) takes me to a jiglu tag cloud popup that I can't escape from! Help! I'm sure it's straightforward, but I don't know what the next steps are to actually follow the link.
Many thanks for your help.
Namaste,
John

Big fan of my spiritual gangster shirt, btw!
