This is definitely a topic thats close to me so Im happy that you wrote about it. Im also happy that you did the subject some justice. Not only do you know a great deal about it, you know how to present in a way that people will want to read more. Im so happy to know someone like you exists on the web.

Cool review! I think I am going to try this. Where can I exactly buy this? I am super curious how good really this product is. Thanks for sharing :)

Carol Galanty

I'm definitely going to try this. I love the idea of full body acupressure!

babs

I am super intrigued. Thanks for the review!

I hear you Linda! This is definitely not a need -- it's a want. You're right -- you don't need much of anything to practice yoga. I am definitely too attached to trying yoga goodies and books (I'm bad with the books). I recognize that I don't need any of these things -- unfortunately, I haven't been able to turn off the wanting of them! Thanks for the reminder -- and no offense taken. You're right, after all.

Diane Cesa

Ooooh Emma -- ouch! I definitely wouldn't recommend practicing yoga on the Yantra Mat. I do stand on it from time to time to give my feet a little acupressure happiness. No yoga though -- my body isn't tough enough for that.

Diane Cesa

Hi Maria --
No, I wasn't paid by Yantra Mat. I only recommend things I like. That's the joy of having a blog -- there's a difference between editorial and advertising.

Maria

Were you paid by "Yantra Mat" to write this article?

Now that's tapas.... 8)

thanks for the spirited introduction... I'll keep my eyes peeled for an opportunity to try the Yantra mat.

A Yanta mat?! Super cool, but I would allow someone else try it out before I would.

Kai

I tried one of these at a yoga conference and found the it didn't do much for me, but it was fun to watch the faces of people as they tried it! ;-)

it never ceases to amaze me how western "yogis" need all this STUFF for their yoga. more accumulation of STUFF, and then it's on to the next best newest thing.

this isn't a rant at you, diana, just an observation. hey, I was at the Kumbh Mela where the tantric yogis don't even wear clothes, that's how non-attached they are!

emma

at first... i thought you were supposed to practice asana (besides savasana) on the mat... nope...
