So true! Very much of my Yoga practice is about self-awareness and acceptance. It's a striving world but striving is not a yogic attitude.
One of my favorite books that illustrates this is "To Know Thyself" by Sri Swami Satchidananda.

I love this post, Diane! I wrote something about acceptance recently, too. It's an important concept to me. Here's my post:


Thank you for this wonderful insight. I think it is true that we put so much effort and focus into doing something, like Yoga, that we forget to actually enjoy it and relax.
